So it was 12 degrees below freezing this morning at the start of todays hunt. In all honesty it wasnt that bad thanks to the miracle of modern cold weather gear. We had a better hunt than yesterday, and I made a sweet 70 yard shot on a goose, but was still a pretty slow morning. You know its slow when you have time to catch a bunch fury caterpillars and hide them inside someones blind while they run to the truck... We actually started prepping and labeling our birds for transportation back across the US/Canada border. Shiz just got real! We came home and chowed down on leftover ginger goose, made more jerky, delivered a few bottles of wine to folks who showed us some real Canadian hospitality, and did some scouting for the last hunt tomorrow. Its probably going to be a duck only hunt. Tomorrow after we clean birds and comfort Dion (who will most likely be distraught at the fact that were leaving) were hitting the road for the 17-19 hour journey back home. Thats the plan anyway. Oh, so when we got back from scouting today we decided to crack the last of the beers, aaaaaaaaand they were all frozen! Oh well. Let it go... Pork tacos for dinner and a song by Hellogoodbye that wasnt on my original list popped into my head, so I have to play it tonight. Just replace Chelsea Lynn with Kylie Marie ;).
