So. its a nice end to a Thursday as I sit with a decent glass of wine in my (what seems like) £5 Million garden thats almost finished. Sorry Left wingers and anachists but thats how it is. I fully expect to wake up and find George Davis is innocent pasted across my new lawn. However, I digress..... As the sun (and the wine) goes down, I reflect (through my rose coloured spectacles) on the various activities of the week, and fortunately they have included dealings with a number of old school sorts. I have enjoyed honest wine with genuine friends of old. They never have and never will, let me down - or I they! I have enjoyed deals struck on a handshake, that I know wont go wrong. I have enjoyed ideas and conversations about deals that will be struck on a handshake in the future - and wont go wrong. I have been looked after - at no extra cost by people who know it will come back to them. I have made sure that certain things that would be damaging to me and others, wont happen because those that can make that so, fortunately have a little trust and faith, based on years of business that we have done, without complication. I have been happy to hook up people with other people, safe in the knowledge that it wont come back and slap me in the face - and will, in fact be beneficial in the future. So thanks, this week, to those people that continue to restore my faith in the very small group of people that still act that way. Thats why Im not quite ready to go just yet: Joe Long, Russell Parsons, Ian Loder, Jonny Millwall, Sean Ing and those that I didnt deal with this week - but are still on the firm....
