So its been over a week since we lost our precious little baby, and our excitement and joy of bringing a baby into the world turned to grief and heartache. Glen shared his heart with our friends and family on facebook a few days ago, and although I wanted to share something, I just wasnt quite ready yet. What I want to say first of all is THANK YOU. From the bottom of my (our ) hearts. The support we got from many of you was really overwhelming. The personal messages I got from friends who had been through very similar circumstances and I NEVER knew; it really broke my heart. For the prayers, hugs, cards, the flowers, the phone calls just to check in and tell us were loved and thought of... THANK YOU. This last couple weeks have been an emotional roller coaster to say the least. We were obviously THRILLED when we found out we were expecting, but we were also in shock, as we had both wanted this for quite sometime and just couldnt believe it was really happening, and by the time the shock wore off, we were then having to deal with the news of loosing the baby. We dont understand why things happen the way they do sometimes, and for me personally that has been the HARDEST thing to deal with. WHY? Im frustrated, angry and sad that this happened, and if were being honest, Im even a little fearful that it could happen again... BUT I know as time goes on, it will get at least a TINY bit better and God will continue to carry us through. I just really felt like I wanted to address all our friends and family on facebook because the outpouring of love and support has been so overwhelming. We know there are gonna be rough days ahead, but we also know that God is faithful. We are so thankful that we have God to lean on through this. It doesnt mean its been easy, BUT we are so thankful for his love and grace. Our prayer now is that as we move forward with trying to get pregnant, that we wont be consumed with fear of this happening again. We love and appreciate each and everyone of you! God is good!
