So just a little update on what was going on (WALL OF TEXT!!): A few days ago, Outous decided to troll me by adding viewbots to my stream. He made an account on some website and apparently someone was using the site to bot me already (someone was adding 100 viewers to me). imgur/a/ciIKA After figuring that out, I got really disappointed knowing that my channel has not grown at all in the past 4 months. After all the fun events like Fight Night, zimbabwe dollar giveaway, plug DJ sanic raids, 1v1 fiddle tournys (peaked at 5k viewers), and a bunch of other random stuff...not much people came back to the stream at all. There isnt really anyone to blame but myself though, which brings me to my next point. In order to grow your stream, you need to expose it to new people, and I need to hit front page for that. During the day (NA time), you need at least 1000-1200 viewers to hit front page (which is impossible for me), and during the night it varies between 200 and 400. The main reason why I woke up at 3 AM to stream was because that was the best time for opportunity - I get closer to the front page, more people click on the stream. A lot of times its hard to fall asleep at 6 PM, so I end up waking up at 3 AM half tired and grumpy. So I start having losing streaks and being in a bad mood. Also most of the viewers come from League of Legends. Since I applied for partnership, we needed that viewercount to get accepted. So on top of being tired. I was pretty much forced to play League of legends when I didnt want to. So it was pretty much just losing 20 games in a row and complaining - not fun for me or anyone watching. After 8 declined partnerships and knowing my stream has not grown much, being out of options for events and bringing in new viewers, I decided to quit streaming (announced yesterday). I said on stream that I would only be online maybe 2-3 times a week, and it would be at random times (no schedule). Then I decided to check out other streaming sites (hitbox for example). Hitbox might be another opportunity if it grows. Hitbox reminds me of about 2-3 years ago when own3d.tv had the monopoly on streaming and you only needed 12 viewers to hit the front page on twitch. Now twitch has grown tons and you need 1000+ viewers to hit front page (impossible for small streamers to get exposure). Twitch currently offers me 0 exposure (literally zero), so I am thinking of switching to hitbox instead as another chance, and hopefully it grows. I will still be looking for a job and not going full time streaming, since I dont think hitbox will bring in enough viewers to become a full time streamer. But at least the chance is still there - unlike with twitch at the moment. Ill be streaming on hitbox now since twitch gives me no exposure and no opportunity to be a full time streamer. Hitbox also seems to be more relaxed, and only a 3-4 second stream delay (opposed to the 20-25 on twitch). I also wont be waking up at 3 AM to stream anymore, Ill be streaming at normal times. Id rather be well rested and in a good mood to stream and actually have fun - which is what I wanted to do in the first place. If you havent yet, make an account on hitbox.tv and follow my stream here: hitbox.tv/PieceOfSheet I will be doing a few streams on twitch to get more people to transfer over. PS. Also I havent talked about how viewbotting is ruining twitch and smaller streamers, I have a different view about it and maybe a possible solution to fix it. I might post about it some other time. If twitch does fix viewbotting, I might go back. Sorrry for the wall of text
