So......just finished a 9 minute (yes, 9 minute O_O ) monster of a song after about 5 days of practically nonstop work. A bit of heads up, this was my first attempt working with an actual DAW, albeit a free trial so there were some restrictions, along with some very basic panning and mixing, because of my ignorance in the field (heh) and some other factors like limited options in the DAW itself there are some balance issues. Not too too noticeable, hopefully, but rest assured that this piece will improve as time goes on, I learn more and I have access to full gear. This is more of a sketch of what this song will be like, still a lot of work to do with it but Im pretty pleased with how it turned out. This piece, on a brighter note (I punned), features one of my favorite instruments of all time, the Ocarina. Without giving away too much for what I have in store Im also planning on adding some other ethnic instruments as well as a choir/female soloist somewhere in the middle when I have higher quality libraries at my disposal.
