So, just now. sitting in bed. Getting ready to go to sleep and I hear outside my window and the door the garbage cans start to shake and the flood light turns on. I of course think its either a bum or a damn raccoon that I think with the help of my 7 iron I can scare off. But as I open the door I am delighted to see a BIG ASS BLACK BEAR pulling its head out of our trash with the days fresh bag( which had to been filled with the salmon trimings from dinner the night before). And when it makes eye contact not 10 feet away, she promptly nods her head at me (yes it was a nod of acknowledgement) and walks down the driveway and then down the street with her two little cubs prancing at her feet. And as I closed and locked the door behind me as fast as possible, I can to the realization that I was going to take on a mother Black Bear with nothing but a damn 7 iron golf club and my pajamas... What a way to stay awake all night.
