So, last Thursday I was hit in the face by an avalanche of boxes - I grabbed one and a stack of 6-7 boxes came down with it and I caught a couple with my face. No biggie. Nose and head were a wee-bit sore that day and the next -- still no biggie. Woke up Saturday morning and the pain was basically unbearable. From the bridge of my nose to my upper lip, so much so that I couldnt stand putting my glasses on! Phil thought I may have broken it. Got thru the weekend with lots and lots of ibuprofen (I refuse to go to ER) and finally saw my doctor this am. Turns out I had a minor abression in my nostril which became infected (diabetics are prone to infections). Dr. said let me tell you what it feels like. Its like someone is trying to rip your nose from the inside out? Yup, thats it. He took a culture to be sure, but it appears Im now Im dealing with a mercer infection. Sometimes life sucks! God willing, this will clear up soon.
