So last night I was around highway 36 and federal and I saw a massive fire so I immediately hop out of my car and ran down to the fire there was a woman with her baby yelling for help trapped in the back yard so I broke the fence down that was on fire still and got her out. I asked if there were more people in the house she replied yes so I ran into the back yard and told her to call 911. I started banging on all the doors and windows and eventually got in through the back door. At this point the whole house was filling with smoke and I knew I had to get everyone out fast so I started yelling for people and going room to room getting everyone awake and out of the house I got everyone out safe and then I began looking for a hose to try to help in putting out the fire as Im doing this I was taken down by several cops they hit me with their batons and kept swinging at me telling me not to resist which I wasnt at all they continued to hit me as Im trying to explain I was just there to help, they put me in cuffs made me sit in the car for an hour and they couldnt even tell me why I was being detained which is illegal they also arrested my friend Jerel and an hour later three officers come to the car let me go gave me all of my stuff back and apologize for hitting me saying they thought I was a threat but I wasnt and they found the woman who did start the fire. The people in the house kept asking where I was and if I made it out okay and insisted I had done nothing but helped to get them out safe. They wrapped up some of my burns and checked me for smoke inhalation and let me go. Its just shitty that because I have tattoos or look a certain way they all just assumed I was up to no good yet again never judge a book by its cover. . .
