So, last night about 8:30pm , I headed down my driveway to take Pugsley for a walk. A van pulls up in the driveway. My first thought was trick or treaters, my second thought it was one of my daughters friends. Then, a guy around twenty or so gets out of the van, walks over to me, asks if I was the lady of the house. He hands me a big basket of candy, covered with shrink wrap and tells me it is a gift for me. Then he starts his little speech about wanting to do demo for me. Before I can say anything else, he grabs a Kirby vacuum box out of the back of the van. Im like whoa, sorry but I dont have time for this. Besides, Im not spending a thousand dollars on a vacuum cleaner so it would be a big waste of your time anyway. He tries to tell me that he has to do at least five demos every night and Im his last stop, yadda yadda yadda, and didnt I want my house cleaned for free? I told him sorry, my carpets are so far gone, not even your vacuum is going to help them, sorry. I shoved the basket back into his hands. He looks disappointed but gets back into his van and drives off. On Halloween of all nights!! Geez
