So last night at the club where the bad ass 11-piece horn band was playing, I ran into a friend of mine who also happened to be down here in NOLA for the week, where his company is producing a MAJOR event at the Convention Center. We were both so blown away by them - The New Creations Brass Band - that he decides to hire them as the opening act for his show this weekend. Now Im sitting here watching their rehearsal - meanwhile nursing a headache with Jamba Juice - and praying this will be a life-changing moment for them, as they are about to play in front of THOUSANDS of people with $$ and power. And all because we stopped by a little club on Frenchman Street... So see?? You never know when that opportunity will come to you - you never know whos gonna be out there in the audience listening.
