So last night we had a staff hunt at the mall where where the youth leaders had to go to the mall in a disguise and blend in to the crowd and the Kids got in groups and had to find all of the leaders around the mall... I was disguised as an emo kid.. All black clothes, my wifes pregnancy skinny jeans, eyeliner, the whole nine yards and walk around the mall.. Three things I confirmed... 1. People in general are extremely judgmental, I had so many different looks from people that were just plain rude they didnt even know me. I mean people were avoiding me. Not for my actions, not for the decisions I made or didnt make, simply because of the clothes I was wearing. Even when I was opening doors for people, spending money at business, or just being my normal self, I was treated completely different than if I was in my normal clothes. My biggest issue with it was the actions of people were not of love and respect but the opposite it was of fear and disrespect. How much better of a world would it be if we simply respected everyone. #weareallchildrenoftheLord The other two things I confirmed... Skinny Jeans are not comfortable and Eyeliner is a pain to take off...
