So last year an adjuster denied liability in one of my cases. He was insistent that his insured driver was not at fault for the collision, when clearly he was. Naturally, I filed suit. The adjuster did not do the other half of his job and alert the insured of the denial and what to do when served with court documents called, pleadings. Well the insured got the pleadings, never responded to them, went into default, and I was able to obtain a nice judgement for my client. The insurance company was then Oh how I wish I could have been in the room when that adjuster or his supervisor was issuing that check. I want to call that adjuster and thank him for the cruise he paid for. Perhaps Stavely and I will name the cruise after him.
