So ; learning lessons at run camp everyday. I have been struggling with energy and pace on my runs lately. Too much training was my trainers diagnosis. I needed to run 3 tonight instead of the 5-7 my team was scheduled to do. I was well back of them. They couldve kept going and that would have been right for their training. They waited for me at an intersection. They encouraged me, asked how I was. I said I was still struggling and told then I would turn back in a bit. My teammate Jamie immediately said he would turn back and run back with me. I protested a little, not wanting my issues to affect his training. He gave me two things to think about. 1. Running is running. It doesnt matter where as long as you are going. 2.The real point is to enjoy it, right? Of course I knew these things. It had real impact when your teammate puts his running shoes whet his mouth was. Bottom line. I had a so much better run that I really needed because of someone living these simple principles for my benefit. You have a great team Jen Graber and Amy Hughes! Thanks soo much Jaime and I.P.A.!
