So let the story begin...on August 21, 2013, the day started like any other day. Anna had a doctors appointment in the afternoon. We were concerned because she didnt seem to be eating properly. We were sent to Childrens for some testing but by 5:00 pm words no parent wants to hear, your child has Leukemia a/k/a Cancer. Our lives will never be the same! One of the hardest thing was calling her dad while he was working and telling him the horrible news. Anna was admitted that day and began treatment. She spent almost a week there. Never once questioning why her. Looking back she didnt even seem sacred. We were then transferred to Roswell. So many days spent there! So many ups and downs! So many times I have wondered why my child but there are no answers. Anna has been so strong since day one. She only really cried once when she was told. She has taken on some harsh treatments, bounced back from many horrible side effects. And continues to ALWAYS have a smile on her face! Our family would have never made it to this day without the great support from our friends, family and many people we dont even know! We want to thank you all for all you have done for us. There is no way we will ever be able to pay back what you all did for is. The power of prayer got us to this point. Anna still has treatment until December 2015, but we know she can do this! I cried a lot this past year but ever time I look at Anna I am amazed at her strength for such a young girl. She had gone through so much for her age. No child should have to go through this. Once again Thank You to our amazing friends and family for your continued support and for everything you did for us. To my Coven Girls you have been the best too me. Always there when I needed you!! I owe you all so much!! Love you all!! Never thought I would ever say this but Happy 1 year Cancer Anniversary Anna!! You have come so far! We love you to the moon and back!!
