So lets get this straight. Common Core was a bi-partisan program supported by educators to fix a broken education system because of inequties and inferior school systems within some states. In fact, it would be a return to the standards of knowledge / literature based criteria that provides a structure for learning, much like the one we all grew up with. If you have any interaction with this generation of students who have the inability to make simple change in recent years, you know this is something needed. So, essentially evetyone was in favor of this initiative until one thing happened...Obama endorsed it. Really people? Are you so shallow and wishy-washy that you would allow political idealism interfere with one of the best things to happen in education in 30+ years?
