So lets open this for discussion. My belief and my worry is if my fiancee or father or myself may get hurt at one of the mine it will take up to 2 hrs to get to the hospital. What if we could cut that travel time in half and see a doctor with in that crucial 1 hour and a half. But we need more doctors and open up surgery spots in fernie. Women cant have children in sparwood, fernie on weekends and so on. So that puts many at risk as well. From my personal experinces I have gone to the fernie hospital before (thats a hour drive for me from elkford) to be sent home by a nurse with out being seen by a doctor. I have gone to the pass hospital before in and out with in 30 mins and seen by three doctors What are your concerns and thoughts on the current situation of our health care ?
