So little Buddy, the 6 year old Shih Tzu, ended up in a cage at Manhattan ACC when his owner got into some legal difficulties—and little Buddy was not happy to get there! He wasn’t too thrilled to be poked and prodded but outside of a minor ear infection, was found to be in decent health. And when he got to his Safer behavioral assessment, Buddy shined! He actually earned an AVERAGE rating but because he put up a fuss during his medical, ACC decided to give him a lower rating. So Buddy’s been patiently waiting for his owner to come for him but no one has come. ACC has decided he has had enough time and so they’ve put the little guy on tomorrow morning’s euthanasia list. Little Buddy has plenty of Shih Tzu years left in him and tonight really needs someone to step up for him. He needs a foster or adopter who understands that when Buddy got to ACC, he was fighting for his life. He needs a foster or adopter who knows that with a good groom, treatment for the shelter cold he caught and with attention that every Shih Tzu knows they’re supposed to have, he’s going to be a great addition to their home!
