So many camp memories! Each one building upon another to produce - TopicsExpress

So many camp memories! Each one building upon another to produce the man I am today. Camp (like mission trips) will change your life. One of the many great memories is a camp with Frank Pardue. Even in a game of basketball, I knew that man cared about me. Each message moved me and the counselors really invested in me. That was also the year Jeff Cox announced me as the camper of the week. I was so humbled. But seconds later he names my mom, Julie Blaise, as the counselor of the week. Tears began to flow and I immediately gave her a standing ovation. She had served and loved her girls unconditionally! That is a memory that will forever be a cherished one. (I still have the trophy in my office by the way!) Camp is only a few days a way. It will be fun, exciting... However that is not why we do camp. Why we do camp is for moments like the one above. Moments that will change a persons life. Moments that will be forever remembered and glorifying to God. Also, my personal why I do camps. That teens know that I KNOW them and they know that I CARE for their souls. (Psalms 142:4) Go to camp. It will change your life!
