So many great things going on this summer... One of them is working for BOCES working with 20 youth in Port Jervis. The kids are paid for 3 hours to work at the tow path, and then 3 hours in the classroom learning about how to get jobs, and helping them build their resumes and portfolios. We have been working at the Tow path behind the new Rite Aid and the transformation is amazing. There was barely a trail there, and now we have cleared the tow path for over 1,200 feet, and made it 15 feet wide. The trail is lit with street lights so people can walk it at night. Due to privacy things and the kids not all having their photo releases yet I couldnt add all the pictures but here is an idea of what we have done. - Port Jervis Mayor
