So many of us use motels frequently - here is a caution - No matter what dont open that door UNLESS you know whose knocking. I answered a 5:30 am knock at the door for a strange woman this morning. For some reason I did . Then I thought. She was from hotel- then the man stepped up beside her and then that lifesaver named Slick turned into a very ferocious guard dog. When the creepy people at the door hesitated I slammed and locked the door. The woman on the other side said they needed money. The motel sent the desk guy over but the creepy people were gone. I should never have opened that door. And I am normally very suspicious when we travel. My first thought was- only a woman 2nd thought- motel staff with complaint of barking dogs from truck I should have ignored the knock and called the front desk. Last mistake - we were far in the back away from other guests. So fellow woman travelers learn from our poor choices. Slick saved us from who knows what. Yay Slick!
