So many people accused me of being a hater, and wanted me strung up by my thumbs this year for stating what I thought was the obvious truth. This team was simply not as good as last season, and played sloppy, close games, and managed to stay undefeated against mediocre competition. Winning close games can be a sign of a great team, but it can also be the sign of a lazy team. Every champion has a trap game where they lose or nearly lose, where a team plays at their top form and catches them when theyre napping. This Seminoles team, however, routinely played down to theyre competition (who usually didnt even bring their best game), never seemed to learn from their mistakes, and just relied on their superior talent to overcome bad execution. I am a proud Seminole, and I route for FSU (except when they play UM) but I am a football fan first. Sorry if my analysis rankled you this season, but the proof is in the pudding.
