So many people have wished me Happy Birthday. Thank you very much. Rod, Emmy and Abby sang happy birthday to me befor Rod took them to school.Cant believe Im 63 today. Holy Crow where did those years go. I remember when I was young Mom would make us kids go outside to play marbles or hopscotch while she got everything ready for the party. Cant even see the ground today let alone play marbles or hopscotch. Parties back then always consisted of syrup, usually red, egg sandwiches,peanut butter sandwiches homemade cookies and of course a cake. We all had those paper hats on and sang when the candles were lit on the cake. Everybody waited to see if you could blow all the candles out with one breath. You didnt have the fancy party like they have now but boy did you ever have fun. You never got money but always got a gift to open.The anticipation of what was wrapped in that paper was almost as good as the gift. There was a lucky plate, lucky cup and prizes for the games youd play. Everyone enjoyed going to parties cause youd have a chance to get a gift too. Anyhew - Im enjoying my day.
