So many people keep asking me why I chose to live in Melbourne... Heres my answer friends: it feels like the city pretty much chose me & now my heart is stuck here. I absolutely fell in love with Melbourne from the very first day and it hasn’t stopped since. Its not just because I am living in a place with beautiful panoramic views over the city and rivers... Of course its one of the indicators for living peaceful and comfortable. However, there is so much more about Melbourne.. Im in love with the vibe of this city, the fashion culture with all amazing designers, the multicultural food, the daily markets, events, exhibitions and the rooftop bars and café lanes. No matter which suburb of Melbourne youre visiting.. I love Melbourne’s street art which youll find in every corner in the city.. Its not just graffiti, its art.. its amazing and people appreciate their work and even celebrate it. Also the architecture and especially the people - Melbourne is so multicultural with nations from all over the world. Everyone respects each other and people living here appreciate it - no racism, less crime. Not to mention the amazing artist, pianists, bands, singers, dancers and actors who entertain the people of Melbourne on the streets every single day.. I always get goosebumps when I watch and listen to their music.. And sometimes I even see ppl wiping away tears who have been touched by their art. Its inexpressible. Just a bit outside of Melbourne youll find beautiful mountains, national parks, wineries, hot springs and the famous scenic great ocean road. Numerous beaches are just a few tram stops away from where I live.. Relaxing at the beach with work mates or friends after a successful or stressful day at work, exploring one of a thousand of restaurants with a good glass of red in one of Melbs famous food precincts, or lying on the grass in Royal Botanical Gardens to watch a movie by moonlight - just make the day perfect! You may not understand what Im talking about.. But you dont need to. Ive traveled a lot in my life and been to NY or LA and also other big cities in Europe or Asia, but you definitely cant compare that. As you feel like being pushed down in busy metropoles like NY, its feels like Melbourne welcomes you with open arms and pushes you up for happiness. People need to be here and live here to fall in love with it.. as long as I will stay in Melbourne Im going to work study and enjoy each and every day - at home with friends or outside with anything else.. its the perfect combination of everything. Sometimes its the little things in this world, which you often cant see even if its right in front of you.. Just open your eyes wide open to see the beauty.. No matter where you are in this world. Its your life, everything lies in your hands, create it.. And if youre not happy, be strong enough to change and move on..
