So many people often ask us how Christian is doing. His fight is very visible. What they sometimes forget it what a strain it is on his older siblings to have a medically fragile brother. This last surgery was very hard on his oldest sister. She really understood the gravity of what was going on. Shes struggled. Her teacher had the idea of getting new classroom pets that would be Izabellaa sole responsibility. Today was the first day that the bunnies were there. Izabella was able to do most of her schoolwork calmly while holding a bunny on her lap. She cleaned their cage, and tomorrow she will learn how to give them a bath. After school she shared the bunnies with Christian who kept saying buh-ee peeeeese! (But of course not when I was taking the video clip). He was so thrilled to hold a bunny for the first time today. Iz has had a perma smile on since she got home and she absolutely gushes each time she talks about her bunnies. Im just so grateful for her teacher who saw how much Izabella was struggling and she came up with the perfect solution. What a blessing she is to us.
