So much going on at Isotherme HQ. I hope I can find the time and energy to make it all blossom. A few months back I wrote a short piece called Gris Reflection, which was kind of minimalist, composing-on-the-go while looking at and thinking about Cubist painter Juan Gris Still Life Before an Open Window. I thought of writing a few more pieces which will be reflections of certain favorite poems and paintings. Next up is Christina Rosettis poem Up Hill. I am also writing some light ambient pieces which will serve as music to relax babies and infants while they nap. If Im able to stay awake for long enough to complete 10 to 12 pieces, Ill bevexcited to give this music away to a few friends who I know have young children or who are expecting. I promise to keep the music happy and in mostly major keys! And finally, I have an EP worth of material planned (half written already) called The Garden of Jude and Cecilia, which focuses thematically on a love story between Jude, the patron saint of hopeless causes, and Cecilia, the patron saint of musicians. Its pretty intense and the ideas I have make me a little misty inside. Hopefully I can successfully transfer this to a listener through the music. Thanks as always for listening, and stay tuned. https://soundcloud/isotherme
