So my birthday tale...no surprise to anyone here I was waiting to - TopicsExpress

So my birthday tale...no surprise to anyone here I was waiting to go ransom my baby boys from the hospital after having their toys and joys removed. They are doing well. So miss independent decides to be super woman and carry both pet carriers in at the same time. Get to the door, open it a kittie in each hand and now the door is open and who is trying to squeeze through to greet the kittens? Two dogs and two cats none of which are allowed outside. Trying to get in and keep them all in I manage. Now were all compressed into a space of about 3x3 and I must kick off my flip flops and step up into my kitchen with this entourage all about me. Left flip flop successfully kicked off; right one not so much. As I lifted my right foot up the flip flop got hung up on the step and I went crashing to the floor. Who knew that would clear a path through the anxious 4 Legged critters all about my feet? When I was finished with my less than graceful gravity check my left knee was on fire and screaming loudly, my left elbow was gonging the funny bone in major percussion tones, my left top of my foot felt abused from the hard extension and my right big toe -- the culprit that caused the mishap -- was trying unsuccessfully to stifle a terrifying shriek from having been bent opposite the way it is intended to go. Horribly I also dropped the 2 carriers one on the right from a higher elevation and totally freaked out my baby boys whose bottoms and fore paws were in pain! They were trying to use the raw paws to try and back of through the grate of the cage door. My mind was zeroed in on what I thought was a shattered knee... my phone way above my head..trying to gather my thought and do damage control and at the same time trying to move quickly to extricate the kiitens before they ripped their stitches. Seriously I just knew my knee was a goner. I figured I better start getting up and start moving because no one was at home but me and now scattered canines and freaked out felines. I was able to get to my feet and honestly one is prone to give thanks aloud immediately when what you imagined is not your reality. Nothing shattered broken ripped torn or bleeding! Sore and tender yes but in no way debilitating. After I did all that I had to yet another location chime in... my head! BOOM a sharp knife like pain and a fuzzy feeling from the top of my head! REALLY? Not gonna happen. I declared enough took 2 Advil to begin to counter the tissue inflammation and banish the headache. It worked. Hadnt slept the night before worried about the baby boys and now exhausted from crashing to the floor I decide to lay down with the boys and rest. The phone, actually two of three, began ringing and one was a friend who was having a bad day and needed come to my house to talk. I ended the day by doing stretch exercises through the pain which totally dissipated much of the tenderness. I slept like a kitty all night woke up this morning with nary a hint of discomfort except for my bottom left rib! All day today breathing kept me humble and of course today we had funny people making me laugh and making my rib smart but I am such a believer in laughter being the best medicine. After everyone went back to their offices my rib was no longer hurting. Starting my day with your warm and loving/living words really made a difference through out the rest of the day. MAHALO from the bottom of my feet to the top of my head.
