So my family has just gotten home from our cruise and I cant express how blessed I am. I have told my parents that I have wanted to go to Haiti for the past 4 years. Though I wished to have gone with a mission group or a organization I took any blessing that got me there. When my mom told me we where going in January I cried and when I actually stepped into Haiti I let a few tears fall. Instead of laying on the beach me and my dad took a hour long educational tour and I have learned so much about this beautiful place. The village near where we docked has 5,000 people living in it with one school for 800 children. It barely fits all the kids in the village and there isnt a secondary school so when children reach the age 13 they stop school unless there parents can afford it which is rare. I learned that all these children just want is a good education. So with finals and school wrapping up for the holidays just remembered how blessed you are to have gone to school or to be going to school and that it is such a great thing to have.
