So, my friend Fran Pratt did a version of an NSYNC slow-dancer yesterday that 99% kicks ass and 1% winks at you, just so you dont start crying. She sings all the time and so, one can assume, she kills it all the time. Never heard a sour note Fran, actually. she may be one of the eleven-folk. time will tell. Years ago, when Fran lived in iowa city, I requested that she give me an impromptu vocal lesson and so, for the next hour, she walked me through some things I could do to strain less and sing more. it was positively the most valuable education Id received. what a lovely thing it was to be taught by a friend to breathe and reach higher. ...that sounds like a motivational poster. but I stand by it. I miss Fran.
