So my friend over at Cat On A Trampoline, (link in the comments.) at least I consider her a friend, idk how she considers me, called Throw pillows an odd name. She called them Scatter pillows now shes from the UK, so it makes sense that theyd call them something different over there. Heres the point of this post, because I really did have one, I barely understand America phrases due to literal thinking, I cant imagine moving to the UK and having to figure out all the odd phrases they use over there as well. And vice versa. As an Aspie its hard enough understanding phrases from the place Ive lived all my life. After years of this and whenever I heard a new one wondering what it meant (depending on my ability to speak Id ask.) I do pretty well. But if I suddenly moved and everything was different Id be so confused and I wouldnt do well. Wouldnt it be easier if we didnt have this? If the world just used the same types of phrases everywhere. (Or better yet, none at all?) ~EQ~
