So my husband and I were talking about religion and organized religion and wanted to point a few things out. People seriously need to stop saying that they hate religion. You dont. You hate the SPIRIT of religion, which is what my husband means when he says it. God created religion, by that I mean Christianity. Christianity IS a religion. God gave very specific details on how he wanted it ran, offices in the church, their jobs, worship and more. Because where there is no organization, the author of confusion, Satan, gets in and corrupts things. So to prevent that, God gave organization. Now, the SPIRIT of religion, is where you get Pharisees from. People that sit and condemn and tell you how you can and cant worship God, even though the spirit of God is upon you. Satan has loosed the spirit of religion and sent it to the church, and Christians are deceived enough to believe that the spirit of religion is religion itself, thereby saying that something God made was flawed from the start. No. Religion is pure when done in the spirit of God. It is flawed thoughts and flawed gods that corrupt it. This is one definition of religion based on the Merriam-Webster dictionary. a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices. As Christians, we fit this definition. Our religious attitude is to be holy and love like Jesus. Our beliefs are based on Jesus the Christ. Our practices are things we do to strive to be more like Christ. All of these which help us to have a RELATIONSHIP with Jesus. Do not allow the spirit of religion to draw you from true religion. He comes to condemn, confuse, bring church hurt, place bondage, corrupt and more. True Religion brings accountability, family, guidelines, organization, blueprints on how to maintain your walk and more.
