So my kitten (who I have hand raised from two days old) has yet to realize that when I pick him up from his inconvenient place on my desk/keyboard I am not going to throw him across the room. In fact my plan is always to turn to place him gently on the floor. His reaction each time to my attempts has been to try to fly off my arm onto the closest thing possible, always resulting in my arm/hand getting scratched to the point where it now looks like I cause myself bodily harm. Tonight, however he accomplished a great feat in slicing along my thumb (nearly parallel with the crease that forms if you move your thumb inward toward your palm a bit). I dont think I need stitches, but good gravy it hurts. In other news, whoever decided the packaging on the butterfly bandages that reside in my first aid kit needed to be impossible to open can go fly a kite.... in a thunderstorm....
