So my mother made me watch Modern Family with her.....AGAIN, but - TopicsExpress

So my mother made me watch Modern Family with her.....AGAIN, but this episode in particular rubbed me the wrong way. Al Bundy-I mean Jay(its distracting seeing him on screen because it just makes me want more Married with Children.) went to go see Skyfall, which is only ever referred to as James Bond. I only confirmed it was supposed to be Skyfall because you can briefly see a marquee for it. Ok, no big deal.....except for the fact that later in the episode you very VERY clearly see a Monsters University poster. Now I know Disney makes the show, and that it was only in the center of the screen for cheap advertising, but heres the thing.... Skyfall came out in November of 2012, and Monsters University came out in June of 2013. Now you could saw that this was just a pre-advertisement promo, but the episode premiered in March of 2013, and was filmed in the summer of 2012. Skyfall wouldnt be out for another four months when they filmed the episode, and all advertisements for Monsters University did not contain the promotional poster that was seen in the episode. Now even if you can stretch it and say that the episode was always intended to come out two months before Monsters University, when the ad campaign was in full boom, you still have to take into account the episode came out after the 2012 Oscars, and at least a month after Skyfall stopped being screened in Los Angeles strip malls. According to the official gross statistics, Skyfall was only in US theatres from November until late January. And even if you say, well it takes place during Skyfalls run time, it doesnt ad up because the Monsters University poster is not seen inside a movie theatre, its clearly in a shoe store. Now why they advertised a movie in a shoe store is beyond me, but I guarantee no shoe store would advertise a movie that wasnt coming out for at least another six months. Especially when the episode was filmed a year before the movie came out. And another thing, this is a show that very much likes to air episodes that have specific holidays around the same time. Which can give you a good grasp on timeline. Two episode prior was the Valentines day episode, but the episode before that featured them buying a house to fix up and flip. In the episode before this one the house is shown to be at least three months in progress. So either that happened in like January, or there is no sense of time progression. So in what universe does this show take place in? Why did I spend so much time thinking about all this utterly pointless topic? God I hate that show
