So my son has what they call a High Pressure shunt. Its adjustable to have the fluid drain from the cyst as fast or as slow as the doctor wants it to. Well for a month and a half my sons shunt was set at the highest setting so pretty much gravity was the only thing draining the fluid (thats why he had to sleep elevated at all times). Well today the doctor was confident with how the CT scan looked and dialed down his shunt!! So now he can officially start tummy time and sleep flat! But now he has to lay on his left side only for a month or so to even his head out. Also, Maddox has been steadily gaining weight and now has hit 9 & 1/2 pounds! He surprised the neurosurgeon and his primary with how much he can do. He hold his own head up, looks around and pushes his body off of your chest! He also has started to reach for his stars that hang over his rock and sit and constantly holds and plays with his prayer lamb. Today was full of good news!!
