So my speech took two hours after all the questions were asked. They really listened to what I had to say. They were really nice--everything went smoothly. It wasnt that bad when it got going. They all even took notes! They said they were so thankful to finally understand so much of it. Several cried. It was so wonderful. The head of the department was so happy with it that shes setting up another conference! This time with the home inspection and initial assessment CPS workers in the surrounding counties. They were so open to my suggestions. It was amazing to feel like an equal to them for once. One wanted them to make a position for me as a part time consultant! Lol. Thank you everyone who encouraged me or gave me input. I did my very best to advocate for everyone in recovery. It went wonderfully, and it opened the door to another, even larger group. Not the ones from behind the scenes but more on the front lines so to speak lol. Its been an unforgettable birthday present. ;)
