So.. my thoughts on Baku. Firstly the time difference is +1 from Moscow. Well this place is quite unique. It is a traditionally a blend of middle eastern Islamic culture and the former Soviet Union. One needs to remember that this is an Islamic country but quite a liberal one. The people are quite nice and open, friendly and ready to help. Not surprisingly, most people speak Russian here and more importantly they could understand MY Russian :) On the onset, it reminds me of a mixture of Moscow and Morocco, as weird as it may sound, thats pretty much how it looks to me. However due to abundance of petroleum this country is awfully expensive ... #Baku #Azerbaijan #Bakı #Azərbaycan
