So now they say trigger to let you know when a work of art might cause you to feel something. In case you are offended by feeling things. I think it used to be especially for people with PTSD or perhaps whom are high on the autistic spectrum when something strong was about to happen but now things like tear-jerker movies, books that are anti status quo and or might cause one to be suspicious of authority or the status quo or that suggest anything which might not be considered mellowly peachy is to be preempted by TRIGGER. I think this may become a way to control free speech and I worry about that as I speculate on the future. Like if you say the church was spread by violence, it might trigger some people to have unsettling thoughts and they could then sue you for damages. Like to mention Lincolns massacre of American Indians or Turkish genocide of Armenians or that Karl Rove is a doo doo head. Hmmm.... thoughts welcome.
