So off to Jordan;;; and Petra at the end of the month but just for a week. A shorter flight than either South America or India thank god.... A first visit for me to this middle East country. Staying in Amman, the capital and will be doing day trips. My American Friend who is a professor at the American College in Cairo will meet me there. There are problems at the borders with Syria but the country is at peace and has diplomatic relations with Israel now for many years and welcomes tourists.
