So on Saturday as I was on my way to Kyalami I was witness to a massive crash just before Rivonia Road off ramp. The gent (Ryan Yates) crashed into the back of a stopped taxi. The damage to his vehicle was so bad he couldnt get out by himself. I stopped to assist Ryan as there was no way he would of survived this. He had the following serious injuries: torn spleen, burst liver, collapsed aorta in the heart, cracked pelvis, serious cuts all the way to the bones on each leg just above the knees... The tow truck drivers were first to start looking through his car to see what they could selvage. I stopped them. After arranging Ryan to get to the Sunninghill Hospital I spoke to his boss and arranged that I take his positions out of his car and return them at a later stage. I returned all his personal belongings today including: a new cell phone, 2 HP laptops, and Apple iPod, his Bible, all his tools and other personal items. I went to visit Ryan in hospital today and he had tears in his eyes when he saw me. Im so glad I did something to help someone that was in need! Just to add that Ryan is still in critical ICU and doing well. On loads of pain meds and having surgery this Friday to both his legs. Get well soon.
