So our appointment with Dr. Lettson and his partner Dr. Gonzalez was everything we prayed for. They were so professional, enlightening, patent and have seen this type of sarcoma with great outcome. I am overwhelmed with joy. Our next step is to do another surgery to take out more margins And remove my whole scar. The reason for this is that they did the original surgery not knowing there was cancer so their could possibly be cancer cells in my incision. He doesnt think so because Dr. Vo did a great job removing margins but he wants to be safe. They will also at time of surgery do a lymph node assessment. They will inject dye and radiation into my knee and the nodes that drain the knee will highlight and he will remove 3-5 to be biopsied to be sure there are no microscopic cancer cells. Depending on the results of the nodes will we will decide on treatment. He is hoping and is his opinion that no radiation or chemo is needed. Amen, amen, amen! God is my savor!
