So peeps, we left Salem zombies and all. Drove across to Lincoln City, nothing like a city but a gorgeous traditional clapboard built houses and shops all bright colours all along the sea front with lovely sandy long clean beaches. We stopped and had lunch here was a bit early but neither of us could resist, see photo. Kim had slumdugger, or something like that, it was a shrimp chowder in a sour dough bread bowl. I had the seafood slider, three mini burger buns with a crab, tune and shrimp filling with a shrimp salad. I am so going to come back off this trip so fat! Whilst we were sat in the cafe looking out onto the bay we could see seals bobbing about in the water, made quite a picture with the sun shining on the water as well. The entire Oregon coastline is spectacular with areas really rugged and worn but much of it has these incredible long stretches of beaches which are so clean with barely anyone on them. Kim kept pulling over so we could get photos or just look such a beautiful area and well worth a visit if your ever in America. We did stop at a seal cave, but they were all out in the Pacific Ocean enjoying the sun. Whilst there we did see 2 grey whales surfacing every so often before diving to feed, a little too far out for good pictures but if you look closely at what looks like pictures of the ocean you may see a black blob and in one a white spray where a whale was spouting water. We are in Florence now for 2 nights, glad to say the motel is of an acceptable standard!
