So random sentimental post: I was going through some old family photos got all sentimental when I came across some pictures of my first dog. His name was Sumo and he was an Akita (a Japanese breed...hence the name Sumo lol). Hes probably the only pet Ive ever had that I actually loved. He was an excellent protector and extremely fun to play to with. I remember talking to him as a kid on my back porch and he always seemed to listen and give me an affirming nudge and smile whenever I was sad. I grew up with him for my entire childhood and he died of natural causes at 12 years old while I was away at debate camp in 2004 (so I didnt get to see him before he passed). If I ever get another dog, hell probably be an Akita, but I doubt I will because Sumo was one my first best friends and it would be hard to replace him.
