So recently a friend told me thats shes jealous bc her babies are always so big that by the time they are 6months she cant use the infant seat anymore! ;) She is currently pregnant again and has ONLY formula fed.....apparently from birth her babies have been trained to overeat bc she explained they would take a FULL 2oz bottle on day 1 and by 1 week were taking 4oz!!!! Her babies are ummmm, quite chunky......at 8months they were wearing 24mlnths just to fit around!!!!! This time she is dead set on breastfeeding from day 1 and letting baby set the pace. Her other kids are quite heavy for their ages and can out eat probably most grown men. I tell her its not only in genetics but in how you raise them to eat. My kiddos eat on demand, comfort nurse, nurse to sleep, and 2 nursed all night and they were still as she puts it "compact and portable". Did u know that every time a baby latches to the breast there are receptors that transmit signals to moms brain and body that changes the composition of the breast milk?! They get extra boosts of fat and antibodies each time!!!!! Moms milk really DOES matter!
