So rules question. During a game I got a penetration against his Dreadnought and rolled a weapon destroyed result. I told him on a 1-3 his Kiaser Assault Cannon (it was a contemptor) and 4+ his power fist. He then said, well it has an inbuilt heavy flamer in his fist, so roll a D3: 1, The Cannon; 2, the fist; and 3, the flamer. I went with it, even though it was odd cause no one has done that before, but he was technically correct since it was another weapon. I rolled a 2, blowing off the arm. Then I told him that he couldnt use his flamer anymore because it was attached to his arm. He got upset ranting about how he paid 15 points for it, how the weapon replaces the inbuilt stormbolter, and its not the weapon that was destroyed. I told him yeah it sucks to spend 15 points on it, it does replace the stormbolter but its still part of the powerfist, and also everyone else Ive played with treats the fist and the flamer as together because how are you gonna fire the flamer that was attached to the arm that blew up? Well we wound up rolling on it because he wouldnt take logic and the majority as an answer and it rolled in his favor. I really cant believe Im asking this, because no one else that Ive played with made a debate about this -_-
