So .. say what you will and blame Bush and the Republicans for whatever you want to but there is this singular, obvious TRUTH to be had that is very telling and revealing about people and their belief systems: Im a conservative and in the past the world would just throw me into Republican and lapsed Catholic; I was okay with that. Over the past 20 years, I have watched the rise of RINOs and false prophets/teachers and duplicitous leaders at every level - so I get excited about Independents and Tea Party movements and I ASSERT that I am just a Conservative, NOT a Republican. I get excited about Apologetics, Hermeneutics and hard-hitting Bible Study like the Truth Project. Even when some people dont. But some people want to keep those old labels on me. Some people want to keep things the way they are. I call RINOs and traitors out and I expect others to do likewise .. like Islam and minority groups, but no. Muslims are muslims. They have not evolved, changed nor separated themselves since Mohammed spoke. Theres no Tea Party type movement or separation assertion amongst the Democrats. People go on and on about Boehners pouty face - hes the type Im talking about: mouthpieces and posers; people too scared to STAND UP and DEMAND change. Its always somebody elses fault. Its always somebody elses problem. Actually, its my problem and its going to take my money to execute someone elses solution. Bull. Its why I dont assert a religion - I say that I am a Christian. Groups make you get in line and spout the planks and beliefs. How awful for those SO entrenched in their political party that they cannot concede a single inch as their whole structure would collapse. Talk about straw houses and slipping sand! I want the TRUTH. Even when it shakes my previously held belief(s) to their core. I have yet to meet a Lefty like that. Nor a gLib nor a member of the LGBT Mob. Their pit bull ferocity to remain tooth-clenched and frothy is astounding. Its why I went from Republican to Independent Conservative, Tea Party backer .. because I hope (and act) towards REAL change. Unlike some people. Its why I went from Im a good guy Agnostic to outspoken Christian. I could have just kept my conflicting behavior, inconsistent belief patterns and selfish desires all to myself and just go along to get along, like some people. But that isnt me. Not after the truth found me. Funny how I know so many people from way back when who have spouted beliefs on all levels and yet they are still the same people Ive always known them to be. No significant, quantifiable change. Oh yes, they have jobs and positions, toys and trinkets, money and baubles that they use to somehow backup their position in life (Im blessed). What does it gain a man to own the world but lose his soul? It is obvious by peoples reactions, both positive and negative, that I am not the person I used to be way back when. Good. I never liked that guy. Seriously. Ask my closest, long-term friends. Im not crazy about me these days either but I know Ive changed and am willing to change even more .. unlike some people. Keep clicking your pink-sneaker heels, you Dorothys. Keep living the non-MLK dream while thinking the Jacksons and Sharptons and Obamas are unifying and doing the right thing a la Spike Lee. Ill go on being unliked .. by some people.
