So some sad news: SHU Band and Rock Band are going their separate ways :( But dont worry were going to continue into our own kick-ass society with your help. ♫ What will the society do? Obviously we will have performances in which you get to show off your musical talent (even if your talent is playing the triangle) We hope to have a band like the current one that jams and each week has a different theme to select songs from. Also we would like a Jazz group as there has been a lot of interest (we would like to find someone willing to lead this group). Finally a lot of people have been interested in setting up bands with specific genres and we would like to work with you by finding other musicians who want to play the same style music as you, letting you borrow our equipment, finding practice space in the Uni and planning gigs together so you get a chance to perform. We will also have socials yay! WARNING you will be asked to dress up. ♫ How can you help set up this awesome society? We are looking for committee members, the roles are: Secretary (writes stuff down and will be in charge of e-mails) and Events (will co-ordinate with members to sort out gigs and practice space). We also need people to register interest, so if this sounds like the society for you get in touch!
