So thats me home from the last ever T in the Park at Balado! It was 1998 when I first went to T with the main acts on the first day Space, Catatonia, Robbie Williams and The Prodigy. Today the last acts I saw were Paul Weller, Franz Ferdinand and Arctic Monkeys. I have had many a good time at T some I cant even remember! I have also had times when Ive hated it ( the mud in 2012) but on the whole I have had good times with good friends, too many to mention in this post. One thing I wont miss about T is being royally ripped off however, £92 for a day ticket, £34 for a return bus, £4.40 for a drink and you can only get lager, Cider or wine. £7!! for a burger and £2.50 for a bottle of look warm water. A fecking liberty I tell u!! You dont realise how much of a rip off it is until you go to other festivals in Europe, perfect example last year we went to Sziget in Budapest 120 euros for a 4 day ticket. 20 euros for a city pass where you could use all the public transport. You dont buy tokens you get a card you put money on and its all contactless with your choice of drink, oh and not a tracksuit in sight. Not sure how T has been selling recently but if its struggling a few pointers as to why might just be above. Anyway saying that Ill probably be back at the new venue next year! :-)
