So the Christensen side of the family (mtDNA) is not really European, but rather Eurasian. My Haplogroup inherited from my mothers mtDNA is TB2, and her mother Ann Obryant (Christensen), and her mother (Beulah) and her mother so on and so forth is very interesting. Here is the breakdown: Today [T2B], is present at the highest frequencies in Croatia (12 percent), Tunisia (9 percent), and Greece (5 percent). In Iran, it is about 4 percent of maternal lineages, and it is about 3 percent of maternal lineages in Armenia. It is also part of some Jewish Diaspora population groups. It is about 7 percent of the population in Bulgaria. In the British Isles, France, Finland through all these countries combined is only about 5 percent, hence Eurasian.
