You initially suspend him for 2 games (which was not severe enough) You realize that you blew that call and come out with future guidelines for domestic violence( 6 game suspension first offence, life time band any offense afterwards with the oppurtunity to appeal after 1 year). You see the video and you drop contract and suspend him indefinetly????? What policy are you following now? What precedence are you creating. Does the policy you put forth a few weeks ago still stand? Are there certain levels of Domestic violence that will determine punishment. So many unanswered questions about this. Now I think Ray Rice is a horrible dude so I am not lobbying because I think he is right. I do think the NFL are back peddling.
