So the community forum was very enlightening last night. The one thing I got to thinking about though is where is this city going. What will it look like in 5 to 10 years. Who are our next leaders. We live in a city with what I believe to be the longest tenured mayor. So I ask all the people in leadership positions who are you grooming to replace you? Not your kids or immediate family but what elementary, middle school, high school kids are you working closely with. What grassroots or college intern are you lunching with regularly to take over you. Leaders should always replace themselves rather they move up, lateral or retire, you should never hold a position for 30 yrs without allowing some fresh ideas to flow through any particular space. Just my thoughts.... what do you think...
