So the facility I have just finished working in is an LTACH. Long Term Acute Care Hospital. Very ill and medically fragile patients transferred from other acute care facilities for a longer term "acute" stay. Many on vents, trach/vent, etc. Infection Precautions to Prevent Medical Errors was taken to a new level working here. Wanted to use my iPAD with a fairly new stroke whose PLOF was so high and computer literate. But how to disinfect? Not just for the other patients. For me!!! I use that thing constantly. The signs on the doors are bright, colorful, and very descriptive. Going to take pics and post later today. What was interesting to me was the "wash gloved hands before and after entering room" and then remove gloves. Enhanced precautions. "See you later"
